Marilyn Manson lawsuit dismissed by court. The court dismissed the lawsuit against abused Marilyn Manson.
The court rejected the claim of the former assistant of 53-year-old rock singer Marilyn Manson Brian Warner), Ashley Walters, who accused the performer of ill-treatment towards her. Billboard reports.
In May last year, the artist’s ex-assistant filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of sexual harassment and violence. In addition, Walters said that Manson forced her to work for 48 hours and also suggested that his friends rape her.
The claims of the alleged victim concerned not only the rock musician but his entire team. Label Marilyn Manson Records Inc. Ashley named co-defendants, saying that she had to work in a toxic environment, being humiliated and threatened by the team.
All the events described by the ex-assistant of the artist in the lawsuit took place in 2010 and 2011, which was the main reason for the termination of the case. The court considered that too much time had passed since the incident and also added that Walters had not been able to collect enough evidence.
Earlier, rocker Marilyn Manson accused his ex-fiancee Evan Rachel Wood of lying about violence and sued her.
Manson claims that Wood was lying when she stated that he treated her abusively with whom she was previously in a relationship. The lawsuit notes that these false statements “derailed the performer’s successful music, television and film career.” Among other things, the court document alleges that Wood and her partner Ashley Gore publicly portrayed Manson as a “rapist.” They allegedly set up a bogus email account “to fabricate purported evidence that Warner was emailing pornography” and forged and distributed a fake email from an agent to give the impression that Manson’s “victims” were under threat and were being targeted against the musician.
