Gabrielle Union continues to praise important women out there. She is picking a name on a weekly basis and shares an uplifting message on her social media account. Check out the latest post that is addressing a powerful woman below.

Gabrielle began her message by saying the following words about Howell:

“‘Today’s #WCW is a powerful woman who I admire, Marcela Howell. Marcela has over 40 years of experience in advocating for women’s rights, reproductive health and justice, and women’s empowerment. She is also the founder of In Our Own Voice: National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda. Which is the only national Black women’s reproductive justice organization.’

Gabrielle continued and said the following:

‘She and the rest of the organization strive to lift up the voices of Black women leaders at the national, regional, and state levels on policies that impact all of our lives. With the recent news of the government possibly overturning Roe V. Wade the fight towards justice continues on and its no surprise that Marcela and @blackwomensrj are at the forefront of it all. Thank you to Marcela for making our voices be heard. Let us lift her up in the light of goodness and hold her there.’

Someone said: ‘So thrilled to see my big sister get named for #WCW by the great #gabunion! Marcela has been my “crush”all my life! She will never stop fighting for #reproductiverights.’

Another follower posted this message: ‘Love her and working with her! She includes #DisabilityJustice #BIPOC #Disabled in the #ReproductiveJustice movement.’

One other commenter said: ‘@gabunion Thank you for highlighting the amazing work my aunt has done for year.’

More people hopped in the comments and made sure to praise Howell and Gabrielle for uplifting women of color.

Not too long ago, Gabrielle made sure to drop a lengthy message about Heather Headley in a new IG post.
