‘Doctor Strange’ actress accused of sexually abusing a child. British actress, stunt performer, and martial artist Zara Phythian have been at the center of a scandal. A 36-year-old woman and her husband, Victor Marke, were accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.
A jury in Nottingham Crown Court heard the case of veteran martial artist Zara Phythian, better known by her maiden name Zara Marke, who starred in the 2016 Marvel Studios film Dr. Strange.
The Daily Mail, citing prosecutors, reports that the crimes occurred between 2005 and 2008. Then Phythian and Marke worked as martial arts instructors. The prosecution believes that the man used his official position “to satisfy sexual needs,” and his wife was part of this process.
The girl, whose name was not disclosed, said that at the age of 13, the coaches gave her rum to drink, after which they forced her to have sex and filmed everything on camera.
In total, 14 cases of crime appear in the case. And the actress’s husband, Victor Marke, has been charged with four more cases of sexual abuse of another teenage girl. The crimes were committed between 2002 and 2003.
The actress and her husband denied all allegations. The trial will continue.
Due to this, two days later, the police made a video recording of his allegations. The victim, who could not be determined due to the core of the allegations, determined that it was her duty to reveal to the police the job she was in.
Zara Phythian became widely known after she appeared in the 2016 superhero action movie Doctor Strange with Benedict Cumberbatch. The actress played the role of one of the Zealots – the apostates of the order of the sorcerers of the Earth. Among her other works are the films “Excursion,” “Warrior Girl,” “Sector 17”, “Tribe: Get Out Alive,” and others.
