Amber Heard donated less than promised amount to charity.

Agents of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) spoke about the financial difficulties of actress Amber Heard.

In the US state of Virginia, the trial of former spouses Johnny Depp and Amber Heard continues. During a new hearing, representatives from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) spoke about the financial difficulties of the Aquaman star. Deadline reports.

ACLU director Terence Dougherty said in court that in 2016 Hurd pledged to pay $3.5 million to the organization. However, the actress donated only about $1 million. She was unable to fulfill the remaining obligations due to financial difficulties.

According to Dougherty, Heard first transferred $350,000 to the ACLU account; then, actor Johnny Depp donated another $100,000 on her behalf. After a while, another $500,000 was credited to the organization’s account on behalf of the artist. Dougherty suggested that these funds were donated by the multibillionaire Elon Musk, with whom Hurd was in a relationship twice.

Recalls that in 2016, Amber Heard accused Johnny Depp of violence after the divorce. In this case, she won the trial and received compensation from the actor in the amount of $ 7 million, which she promised to divide in half and send to charity.

Over 2 million people have marked a Change.org petition to remove actress Amber Heard from Aquaman 2. The signatories accuse the girl of domestic violence against her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

“In the $50 million lawsuits, Johnny Depp describes the many cases of domestic abuse he suffered from his (then) wife, Amber Heard. <…> Since Heard is a known and recognized domestic abuser, Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment are required to remove her from participation in the Aquaman 2 project, the statement said.

In April 2022, Johnny Depp filed a $50 million lawsuit against his ex-wife, who hinted at his domestic abuse in a column for the Washington Post. The actress filed a counterclaim for $100 million.
