Tom Cruise invited Prince William and Kate Middleton for a mere private screening of the new Top Gun -


As the public prepares to discover, almost 36 years later, the sequel to Tony Scott’s cult film released in 1986, Tom Cruise wanted to offer the princely pair a preview of choice.

The 59-year-old actor invited Elizabeth II’s grandson and his wife, Kate Middleton, to a private screening at the IMAX Theater in Leicester Square in London on Thursday, March 31, according to The Sun. The royal couple was accompanied by Princess Eugenie, Beatrice, and Sophie Wessex.

“A source told Tabloid, The rest of the theater has been shut to secure the privacy of William, Kate, and a few other associates of the royal family and a few authorized companions, adding:” Tom welcomed them. “I hope they like the film as much as he like it.”
