Barack and Michelle Obama‘s political series is expected to have 10 episodes, each of them being, in fact, a three minutes long animated music video meant to educated kids and teens about the Government and other social and political topics.

Each episode is set to feature a mix of different animation styles as well.
In the presser, Netflix goes on to describe the series as: ‘an exuberant call to action for everybody to rethink civics as a living and breathing thing and to reframe their own understanding of what the government and citizenship mean in the modern world.’
We the People is created by Chris Nee, who is also an executive producer for the ambitious project, along with Michelle and Barack Obama and their Higher Ground Productions company.
Of course, the series has a much bigger team behind it, featuring a number of other producers and directors.
Furthermore, the world premiere will be hosted by AFI DOCS via a free screening event in the festival’s DOCS Talks section.
This will take place on June 24, at 8 PM ET. The series can also be watched starting with July 4, on Netflix.
