Gabrielle Union is praising an award-winning journalist on her social media account. Check out the post that she shared here.
‘Today’s #WCW is a constant source of inspiration as well as an award-winning journalist, @Yamichepbs. She is a White House correspondent for PBS NewsHouse, a political contributor for NBC News and MSNBC, and as of this month, she was named the new moderator of Washington Week. This new role is a true testament to her quality work, her ability to be a source of LIGHT, and her unyielding commitment to reporting the truth,’ Gaby began her post.
She continued and said: ‘This Friday she will be leading a legacy as the ninth moderator in Washington Week’s 54-year history. In 2020 Alcindor won the White House Correspondents’ Association’s Aldo Beckman Award; making her the first black woman ever to win this award 🙌🏾. She writes about the most sensitive touch points in our current climate, yet manages to make it digestible and filled with hope. One of her interviews really sums it up for me when she said, “My hope is that my work will shine a light on the civil rights issues of our time, expose the flaws of America’s unrealized promise to treat every man and woman equally and give voice to people who may never get the opportunity to walk into the White House.” Let us lift her up in the light of goodness and hold her there,’ Gaby posted.
