Today marks the very first day of Women’s History Month, which was even more reason for Taylor Swift to call out a new Netflix show for its misogynistic joke about her dating life in the past! The said show is titled ‘Ginny and Georgia’ and the singer did not hold anything back!

The line that bothered her and many of her fans, who sent Taylor a lot of messages about it, goes: ‘What do you care? You go through men faster than Taylor Swift.’

As you might know, Taylor used to be criticized a lot for her short-lived but very public relationships.

Naturally, this kind of misogynistic discourse that women can’t date a lot, just for fun or learning about life and love is no longer generally permitted.

But it doesn’t seem like Ginny and Georgia’s got the message yet!

The superstar took to her Twitter to call out the show for its lazy and sexist line.

She included the quote and wrote alongside it: ‘Hey Ginny and Georgia, 2010 called and wants its lazy, sexist joke back. How about we stop degrading the hard working women by defining this horse s**t as fUnNy. Also Netflix, following Miss Americana, this outfit does not look cute on you. Happy Women’s History Month, I guess.’

To make her disappointment even more obvious, Taylor concluded her message with a broken heart emoji.

Miss Americana is Taylor’s own documentary on the same platform and in it, she opens up about dealing with slut-shaming, body image and much more!

As for Ginny and Georgia, it premiered on Netflix on February 24 and soon after, Taylor’s fans started slamming the series, even making ‘respect Taylor Swift’ trend on Twitter so it’s no surprise that the controversy has reached the artist as well.

In the meantime, Taylor is still working on re-recording her oldest six albums so she’s generally been too busy for social media.

However, this was too big not to tweet about!
