A follower posyted this: ‘There is both light skin and pretty privileged jst FYI,’ and someone else said: ‘Damn ever since the breakup, blogs been running with everything Saweetie do.’
A commenter posted this: ‘Saweetie and Cassie are in the positions they in now because of pretty privilege,’ and a follower said: ‘And I know a lot of y’all don’t like admitting it but colourism also plays a hand. A darker-skinned woman has to be exceptional, they aren’t allowed the same grace to be mediocre.’
The female rapper tweeted to her fans after much speculation surrounding the status of their relationship.
‘I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Excited for this new chapter of elevation 🙏🏽.’
