Tekashi 6ix9ine has been out of the headlines for most of 2021 thus far, with the exception of a near-brawl that he almost got into with the Philadelphia rapper, Meek Mill. As it was previously reported, the Tattle Tales artist and Meek Mill nearly got into a fight outside of a nightclub near the start of the month.
Ever since then, a lot of people have been coming forward online to share their opinions on it. For instance, users have been calling attention to the fact that Meek Mill used Pooh Shiesty lyrics to mock Tekashi 6ix9ine during their beef.
Moreover, Desiigner also talked about it as well, explaining his own ideas for what the Philadelphia rapper should’ve done to Tekashi 6ix9ine, who hails from Brooklyn, New York City. It goes without saying these days that Tekashi 6ix9ine isn’t a favorite among his contemporaries.
Even though Post Malone, for example, isn’t really a part of the hip-hop culture, in the same way, the performing artist was asked recently if he would ever work with Telashi 6ix9ine, and Post Malone coyly said, “chances are, no.”
You can see what Post Malone had to say in the video for yourself, it’s clear that he didn’t want to be mean to Tekashi 6ix9ine:
Due to the way Post Malone politely answered the question, a lot of people wrote in the comment section, “#respectfully,” which obviously was a reference to the way he said it so nicely. This is probably a good move considering the rapper’s reputation as of late.
Interestingly, Nicki Minaj never faced the same fate when she worked with Hernandez after he got out of prison. Although, fans certainly weren’t happy about it. To be more accurate even, the hatred and vitriol seemed to come more from other artists rather than from the fans.
As for what Post Malone has going on these days, the rapper reportedly has a virtual concert scheduled for the ending of the month. The beerbongs and Bentleys artist hasn’t been afraid of innovation amid the coronavirus pandemic which has shuttered live performances for now.
