Us Magazine revealed Kelly Preston‘s death certificate today in which it was reported that the actress had died at her family’s Florida home amid her struggle with breast cancer. In case you missed it, John Travolta announced his late wife passed away on the 12th of July at 57.

Kelly’s remains were cremated in Florida’s Brooksville Crematory, Us Magazine reported. Preston had two children, Ella, and Benjamin, however, she and John had another child who died in 2009 from a seizure.

Not long after it was revealed that Preston had passed away, Ella took to her account to commemorate her mother’s tragic passing, describing her as “courageous.” She went on to describe her mom as “beautiful,” “strong,” “courageous,” and “loving.”

Ella also said that her mother lit up the room with her energy and glow, and anyone who knew her could attest to that. As fans of John Travolta know, this won’t be the first time he has dealt with a tragic loss in his life.

Approximately forty-three years ago, John lost his girlfriend, Diana Hyland, to the same disease. In 1977, when John was just 23, he lost Hyland when she was 41-years-old. Hyland starred as his mother in the 1976 classic, The Boy in the Plastic Bubble.

During a past interview with People Magazine from 1977, John said he didn’t know she was going to die for certain up until around 2 weeks before it happened.

Travolta said he was filming Saturday Night Fever at the time and when her ailing health was revealed, he went to visit her in the hospital for her last moments. John said he “felt the breath go out of her.” According to John, Diana wanted nothing but the best for him in every conceivable way.

As it was noted above, John lost his 16-year-old son back in 2009 to a seizure. Not long after his passing, John said doctors and medical practitioners had tried to extort him for $25 million, laying the responsibility for his death on the family, Heavy reported.
