The director of one of Eminem‘s music videos, “Godzilla,” recently came out to celebrate the legendary rapper’s incredible work ethic. Hot New Hip Hop picked up on comments from Cole Bennett in which he praised Eminem as well as Juice WRLD.
As most know, Eminem worked with Juice WRLD shortly before the young rapper died back in December of 2019. Cole Bennett, who directed “Godzilla’s” music video, said he was incredibly grateful for his time working with both artists.
Fans of the rapper know Eminem just dropped Music To be Murdered By, a record that seemingly came out of nowhere. Many people praised it as one of his best albums in years, however, others accused him of profiting off of Juice WRLD’s death.
Reportedly, Cole just received a nomination for Video Of The Year at the Video Music Awards, and the director decided to write a long note of gratitude on his Instagram account.
He wrote in his post, “I could really cry,” before going on to share his sense of gratitude for the people he worked with. According to Bennett, Eminem was always the first one on the set, and he worked tirelessly in what he described as “2 straight 14-hour days.”

Eminem has obviously been in the headlines a lot for other reasons this year, including a week ago, when it was reported that he was worried about Mariah Carey’s new memoir.
Marshall Mathers and Mariah Carey were once in a short-lived relationship, but it wound up going down in flames. Sources who spoke with Hot New Hip Hop claimed Eminem was concerned about the memoir because his romance with Carey has always been a “weak spot.”
The rapper has taken shots at Carey on a number of his tracks over the years, even prompting her ex-husband, Nick Cannon, to retaliate with his own diss-tracks against the rapper.
Eminem never really responded, at least not in diss-track form, mostly because the hip-hop world believes the two rappers are not even on the same level, or even in the same league for that matter.
