Tekashi 6ix9ine won’t have his Instagram account deleted from the internet despite the fact he previously pled guilty to involving a 13-year-old girl in a music video. Hot New Hip Hop said today that Tekashi 6ix9ine’s past as a sexual predator won’t impact his account.
As it was previously reported, in 2015, Tekashi 6ix9ine pled guilty to one count of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance after he and his friends involved an underaged girl in a music video. In case you’re unaware of his prior convictions, Tekashi 6ix9ine released a video in which a young girl was performing oral sex on another man.
The music video was distributed to fans on the internet. Of course, the fact she was 13-years-old at the time of the film’s recording made it illegal.
These days, Tekashi 6ix9ine’s reputation in the business has been under siege for other reasons, mostly related to his racketeering case for which he received a reduced sentence after collaborating with the federal prosecutors.

Regardless, it’s clear that Tekashi 6ix9ine’s past as a convicted sexual predator has made its way back on to the minds of social media users because many people online expressed caution at the idea of allowing the rapper to continue using Instagram.
Social media users pointed out that Facebook, the company that owns Instagram, has a strict policy prohibiting sexual offenders from using any of their platforms. Facebook put the young artist’s account under review, but they determined that he wasn’t in violation of their policy.
TMZ claims that Facebook gave Tekashi 6ix9ine a pass because he was 18-years-old when the incident occurred. He had been “adjudicated as a youthful offender” in the case. This isn’t the same thing as having a criminal conviction as an adult.
Put simply, because Tekashi 6ix9ine was 18-years-old at the time of the dispute, his account will continue to exist. Reportedly, his lawyer claimed that Tekashi 6ix9ine was able to receive a youthful offender status due to completing some of the sentencing requirements.
Even though Tekashi 6ix9ine has had a controversial past, he has continued releasing music.
